Invisalign Treatment is the Discreet, Convenient, and Comfortable Way for Straighter Teeth

Invisalign Treatment in St. George UT Area

When you want to straighten your teeth, you’ll be pleased to realize there are plenty of options, including clear aligners and metal braces. Common Sense Family Dentistry proudly offers Invisalign treatment, a popular clear aligner brand that straightens teeth discreetly and comfortably. If you want to straighten your teeth in St. George, Utah—without metal wires and brackets—visit Drs. Scott Stucki and Jason Robinson today!

How does Invisalign work?

Invisalign may seem too good to be true, but it isn’t. The system uses advanced technology to fabricate bespoke aligners that move teeth into the desired positions.

The Invisalign aligners are customized to:

  • Shift your teeth gradually but firmly.
  • Move the entire tooth and roots simultaneously.
  • Move a few teeth at a time; that’s why you need to change the aligners every few weeks to target new teeth.

Every Invisalign treatment starts with an in-depth dental exam. The dentist will inspect your teeth and bite to determine your eligibility for treatment. If so, we’ll take 3D scans of your teeth and use sophisticated technology to create a customized treatment plan. Then, our Invisalign lab creates customized aligners that are worn in sequence. Each aligner is worn for about two weeks before graduating to the next in line. Although removable, the aligners must be worn for at least 20-22 hours daily.

Invisalign vs. braces: How do they compare?

Invisalign and metal braces are the two superpowers for straightening your teeth. Each has its strengths, quirks, and fanbase—but which one fits your smile style best?

Let’s break it down.

  • Discreetness: Braces straighten your teeth with metal wires, brackets, and ligatures. Invisalign aligners are smooth, clear, and practically invisible. Invisalign aligners are the low-key option that quietly works magic without drawing unnecessary attention. If subtlety is your thing, Invisalign takes the day.
  • Convenience: Braces are fixed in place. This means you may need to avoid certain meals, and brushing and flossing your teeth is never straightforward. Invisalign aligners are removable. You can pop them out for meals and brushing—easy life!
  • Comfort: With metal braces, you might experience occasional poking wires or sore spots from brackets. Adjustments can feel tight for a day or two. Invisalign aligners are smooth and custom-fit, offering comfortable treatment from start to finish.
  • Speed: Invisalign is often faster than braces for mild to moderate misalignment. Because treatment is mapped out digitally from start to finish, each aligner is designed to move your teeth efficiently and predictably. Many patients see results in 6-18 months.
  • Discipline and dedication: Since they’re fixed, braces do the work without needing reminders. You can’t take them off—so they stay the course, no matter what. Removable aligners = more freedom. But with great power comes great responsibility. You must wear them 20–22 hours daily or risk slowing progress.
